A calm evening out in the open turns into one of the most exciting wildlife encounters I've ever experienced. It ends well for all involved and the aftermaths of the adrenalinerush keeps me smiling for days. Thinking of the hour I spent watching the relaxed boar family's intimate interaction makes me warm at heart.

Boar have returned to the Swedish fauna during the last decades. People are generally excited at the possibility of getting a glance of them but not all. Boar can spoil large portions of cultivated fields and when I return to see if I can get some additional shots a couple of weeks later I meet a hunter who is part of a team set out to reduce this family in the hope the rest will seek food elsewhere.

Hej Robin! Jag tror att familjen kan ha flyttat en bit. Har själv inte sett dem sedan i vintras däremot har jag hört att de setts i kurvan ut från stan efter ridskolan. Om du ser dem får du gärna berätta var :)
