Even though most people comment simply for awesome, I would like to discuss the idea you and your friends came up with. It is true that thought processes contain energy, but it is not because they are generating that energy intentionally. It is because the brain requires energy to preform those thought processes. That energy is in the form of electricity, passing from one neuron to the next in a specific pattern. Of course this generates an electromagnetic field, all electrical currents do.
