Ya know, it's rather ironic. Just because a guy is manly doesn't mean that a chick will dig him - If anything now-a-days there are more and more women who like effeminate men since the male stereotype elicits images of a guy demeaning or undermining women in some way, because he's manly and a female is beneath him. That being said If doing something manly proves to other men you're manly, but women aren't interested, then you're only attracting other men, which I doubt was the goal.
