Stalactites don't take "millions of years" to form:
A stalactite is the remnants of the minerals in running water. Therefore, their growth rate is completely dependant on the AMOUNT of water dripping down it. Who says that today's drip-rate is the exact same as it was 100 years ago? 500 years ago?
