But yes, Nixon wasn't as bad as some say, but he wasn't excellent. In Vietnam, he could have done better, that's for sure. Watergate was a big mistake of his. But, on the other hand, he brought China in as a trade partner to the US and the rest of the West, and he helped guide the United States through the oil shortages. Not the best, but far from the worst.

You'd have to be living in a bubble to compare the current guy to the level of corruption that Nixon was involved in. From wiretapping the opposing party's convention to expanding the war in Vietnam to making an "enemies list," the guy was a lunatic. Worse, he thought what he was doing was legal because he was President.
