Shawn Kung, Senior Director of Product Management for Aster Data Systems, explains the similarities and differences between In-Database MapReduce and file-only MapReduce systems like Hadoop. In-Database MapReduce is a feature included in the high-performance Aster nCluster analytic SQL database.
