is there any sheet music or tutorials out there if not could you make one yourself

A mazurka should not sound like a waltz. Listen to IGNAZ FRIEDMAN in this piece and learn from the master. You do play nicely, though :)

i couldnt really tell the tempo or the melody was off.

I think "hour's sightreading! " is somewhat exaggerated

Honest! The piece lies well under the hand, but does require strong and nimble 4th and 5th fingers. The slower tempo is the result of my weak fingers. But besides that, the entire piece does not contain many different notes - the same motive is repeated several times in the tonic and dominant.
The only different parts are the middle and end sections.

Yes, I love Horowitz's playing. I try not to watch it too much - it tends to remind me the colossal difference in skill :P.

Well, I knew the OF the piece already (being a huge Chopin fan), and I had the book of Mazurkas too. Watching that charming video motivated me to actually sit down and learn the piece.
