Homophobia

The reason homophobic people are the way they are, is that they are so worried they are going to get something up their arse, and will have nothing left to talk out of...!
-
I will break any man's neck stupid enough to fuck with me or my gay lover.
I already messed one black dude up for spitting on me and shouting homophobic sexual slurs, smashed his face into a bloody mess.
I may be gay, but don't call me "Flaming Faggot" for sake of insulting me, that's like me calling him a "Dirty Nigger," its not what all black people are.
Just because I enjoy discreet anal sex in public men's toilets does not give anyone the right to assault me for it?!
Homophobes, FUCK OFF!!!

I knew from Wikipedia that the album and single versions of this song were different, but...woah, they're VERY different. A haunting protest song becomes arguably their most infectious, poppy single pre-Tubthumper? I would never have expected it to work, but this works so so well, I may even prefer this version. This band's ability to marry a strong message with such catchy, well-crafted music is quite laudable.

The message is clear. If you ever encouter a homosexual, sympathise. He is still human. Homosexuals should be treated exactly the same as everyone else.

My mom did this tour while she was pregnant with me, and sang me this as a lullaby, probs explains why I want to go back to the 80s all the time :)

@Phillyupstart I know it's a while since you posted this but if you haven't found it yet, it's on the Anarchy album.

Love this video and this song. It's so true. Some people need to grow up!

@Phillyupstart This is on the Showbuisiness CD - which is a live one, but so well done its positively amazing!
Other than that - this is just a bloomin' great song by a bloomin' amazin' band!

We've been given permission to cover this fabulous song by the band. Can't wait to do it. :)

One of my favorite songs by this group is tubthumper, and my favorite verse, "I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down"

Things have improved for homos a lot in England since this video, with state sanction of 'gay' 'marriages' etc. Not so in many other countries, particularly those of the muslim persuasion.

@Phillyupstart
Hi Phil,
Know the song is on one of their albums - I've got it somewhere so I'll look and later and see which one it is on. Of course - if you get the album - you can copy it over and put it into mp3 - and am sure you'll be able to get the album 2nd hand or cheap of amazon etc. Is a great song - it summed up all the homophobia we had in the U.K at the time; clause 28, AIDs hit London - and the whole homophobic attitude it all brought up - so the Chumbas addresseing all that
