Days of Being Wild

By Wong Kar-Wai

Starring Leslie Cheung, Maggie Cheung, Carina Lau, Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Tony Leung, Rebecca Pan

For me, after "Ashes of Time", "Days of Being Wild" is the best film of WKW (though I love "Happy Together" most 'cause of some reasons). This film is like a colorful dream, with sad feeling of "old days"... It's not easy to "see" its "art" as "In the mood for love" or "2046", but when you realize, this is one of most beautiful thing of all-time...

I love Leslie's acting in this film... You know, "the bird without legs" :)

  • Leslie Cheung --- an irreplaceable HK icon... a brilliant and talented author-actor as well as an outstanding HK singer. You'll forever be dearly missed by those who love you.

  • I love Leslie Cheung's movies. He is the most Romatic Actor in Hong Kong. Thx for sharing.

Also, I have the soundtrack "Always in my heart" both black albumn and CD. This is my old father's most favourite albumn. Father played it every night before sleep. I bought this movie CD too.

You know what is real ? Do not believe in those HK tabloids things. Leslie was loved and fans supported him (and his lover), he got depressed because of them - THE MEDIA OF HK. His manager said, this artist was killed by yellow press and rumors.

  • @scaldash he was closeted for all his life until he took in that partner. then he took his life due to lack of love. he's simply too depressed and lonely. too bad all the fame and money he had didn't save him from suicide.

  • @dianthusboy considering he confessed to the tabloids of being bi-sexual and that he also eventually took a male spouse I think your closeted theory is bollocks mate,

he was a depressed individual it happens sometimes, its just often very tragic when its a person who touch's the hearts of so many

  • @hebe1112 it's true. did you not hear what the hong kong tabloids say? he was clearly gay but lived his life hiding in the closet and depressed. so he killed himself when his friend found out that he's gay.

  • This beautiful movie was the one introduced me into Hong Kong cinema. It was also the first time I heard of the name Leslie Cheung (sorri for that, but in fact, Leslie was not very popular in Vietnam, cause we prefer watching TVB's TVseries). Now I have to admit that I love Leslie Cheung more than any Asian artists that I've ever seen in my life, and I also became a big fan of Wong Kar-wai's works.

Leslie Cheung, he made me chilled every second in this movie. What a jerk, but so elegant sexy.

  • @sickegg2000 oh no no This movie was filmed 15 December 1990, not 1960

  • OMGGGGGGGGGGGG i got the shivers in the beginning.. IF leslie cheung stood behind me so close and said "You will dream about me tonight" ... I would go AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *fangirl scream*

  • I love this film so much that I make my nick name lesleeC.... just like leslieCheung
