No dummy. He CLEARLY mentioned the murder rate between the two countries. Lets say we take away ALL the guns and make you a fantasy world. I will then laugh in your face when you're getting beat down with a bat, a golf club, a hammer, fists, or even getting slashed with a knife. You take away one and they will find another, better way.

The majority of those murders are by gang members, not by just your average gun owner going out and acting like Yosemite Sam. And of that 8k people killed by firearms 300 were killed by police, and even less by lawful self defense. Gun control in this country started after the civil war and was intended to deny the newly freed slaves of their 2nd amendment right. It has never been about gun control, it is about people control. I was pointing out that ATN is striving for serious facts for a serious debate? Well why on earth didn't he:

1)  Point out that the FBI clearly states in its report that 67.7% of all murders are by firearm

2) Point out that the definitions of violent crime in the UK and the US are VASTLY different?

Wrong, I would love to see your face when you get robbed by a criminal who has a gun and you don't, I would love to see your face when the government announces martial law, don't say it wont happen, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, all took guns from their people. You may never need to use a gun, but if you do you will be glad to have it. Remember, just because you think something wont happen, doesn't mean your right.
