I have more respect for this man than anyone could imagine. People may not like what he does for a living, but people like me are damn grateful for what he stands for. He's paid a very high price for the single most important right we have, the one that makes us free.

I don't care what he looks like or how he sounds. Those are mere conditions of the battles he's fought. As long as he is alive, there will be at least one person looking out for our right to say what we want.

@armin38822 Sure. Take for example the ruling of Hustler Magazine v. Falwell, which protected unflattering portrayals of celebrities and public figures under the 1st ammendment. Without that, South Park wouldn't be able to make fun of Tom Cruise, Kanye, Barbara Streisand, etc without being sued for "emotional distress".

er, lose? I wasn't aware this was a game :) Just to be clear, I have seen the movie, although they really should have found a fat cripple that drools on himself to do ol' Larry justice. Flynt's epic battle isn't an example of justice being seen to be done, it simply demonstrates that with enough money and high powered lawyers you're justice system is found sadly wanting..... I'd look elsewhere for a civil liberty role model if I was you.

I detest that regime more than you might think, having worked closely with some of it's agencies prior to and including the invasion of Iraq (it's pronounced phonetically e-raq (e as in bed), not eye-raq.
