  • I have more respect for this man than anyone could imagine. People may not like what he does for a living, but people like me are damn grateful for what he stands for. He's paid a very high price for the single most important right we have, the one that makes us free.

I don't care what he looks like or how he sounds. Those are mere conditions of the battles he's fought. As long as he is alive, there will be at least one person looking out for our right to say what we want.

  • Yeah, he needs to clear his throat. I do not think he is good health. But I think Larry Flynt is a smart dude, and a more intelligent speaker than most. Bless you, Larry, for fighting for Free Speech, and thanks to Mr. Rollins for having him on. Cheers!

  • there's two types of people opposed to pornography : those who don't know what they're talking about and those who don't know what they're missing

    :-D

    fabulous quote.

  • even if you dislike flynt u have to admire his candor and lack of pretension, he was definitely unimpressed with Rollins and didnt believe his conviction, you cant bullshit flynt, the host is a fkn wanabee

  • @armin38822 Sure. Take for example the ruling of Hustler Magazine v. Falwell, which protected unflattering portrayals of celebrities and public figures under the 1st ammendment. Without that, South Park wouldn't be able to make fun of Tom Cruise, Kanye, Barbara Streisand, etc without being sued for "emotional distress".

  • This man is worth more than Microsoft and Apple put together IMO, Larry Flynt, I salute you Sir.

  • @mickdel In summary you have proven that an intelligent master plan to tread on and rebel against the society of religious pussyfooters and retarded morality rapists evades you and you see only deliquence. and yeah apparently a trial and a game to you are pretty much the same thing, im not going to draw this out for you in a four part diagram, if you dont get it you're just going to have to take a new approach to pulling your head out of your ass.

  • @13377r3331f

er, lose? I wasn't aware this was a game :) Just to be clear, I have seen the movie, although they really should have found a fat cripple that drools on himself to do ol' Larry justice. Flynt's epic battle isn't an example of justice being seen to be done, it simply demonstrates that with enough money and high powered lawyers you're justice system is found sadly wanting..... I'd look elsewhere for a civil liberty role model if I was you.

  • @mickdel you're a monster and you need to watch the people vs larry flynt before you can even begin to understand someone you've only just barely heard of. You're an imbecile, and this is one of those situations where you are targetting an individual who is at the top of the list for debating and winning in supreme court on this very topic. in summary, you lose.

  • @mickdel

I detest that regime more than you might think, having worked closely with some of it's agencies prior to and including the invasion of Iraq (it's pronounced phonetically e-raq (e as in bed), not eye-raq. That get's on everyone's tits for a start. But, no, they were morally bankrupt, war criminals, and they screwed America just as much as the horror they inflicted on other countries.

However, lowering yourself to their level, makes you as bad as them. Contradiction?

  • @mickdel What that regime worked to destroy and undermine is bigger than any one person, no matter how much that person has sacrificed. Liberty is bigger than any one person. It is bigger than 10 or 100 or even 300 million—especially a vast majority of 300 million that don't give a fucking rat's shit covered ass about their rights.

  • @mickdel It's not about the fact that she's a woman of 19. If she would go along with a tyrannical regime's charade of good will to the Middle East when it's just 21st Century Imperialism; you bet your ass, I don't care what her circumstances were; if she had gone along with the charade, publish away. That tyrannical regime did more to destroy our civil liberties than any other White House Administration in the history of this country. I'm thinking about the bigger picture, not one person.
