This is a video I took of my dad setting a rabbit snare, which inspired me to make some vids of my experiences of making, setting, checking rabbit snares. I hope you watch & enjoy them.

Always be repectful of land owners and get permission...Stay away from residential areas to avoid pets...Post your area to advise other hunters of your snares, and always respect the environment.

Rabbit stew anyone? Maybe later I will do a rabbit recipe vid. There is more than one way to skin a rabbit.
I am going to also make a "skinning a rabbit" vid once the season opens. Snaring rabbits is a great way to get out in nature and pass away the winter blues. Rabbit trap, snaring animals, catching animals, trapping rabbits, catching rabbits, collet a lievre, piege, shooting rabbits, hunting rabbits, rabbit hound, snow shoe hare, jack rabbit, rabbit habitat, wildlife habitat. Yarmouth Nova Scotia Canada.

Be responsible and check them daily. Good luck in the woods!

The background music I used in this video is "Rock You" by one of my favorite bands "Helix" Buy their music you won't be sorry.

Other animals that are fun to trap and snare are: Beaver, muskrat, mink, otter, raccoon, squirrel, rats, bobcat, lynx, martin, albino, fox, coyote, wolves, wolverines, bear.

arnab, tavsan, napastak, trusis, haas, konyn, kanin, konijntje, konijn, hase, krolik, kouneli, conill, coniglio, coniglietto, cuniculus, lepus, iepure, conejo, zayek, kralik, kunic, zajko, zec, zayets, yah toi, tu zi, nyuszi.

  • Would this snare method go alright if you attatch it to something firm and have it suspended in front of a rabbit hole? Thanks

  • Nice, enjoyed the Helix "Rock You!" in the background music!

  • Too kewl!! Now this has to be the 'Fairest' way to thin out the Rabbit population, enjoy a very tasty meat..and Piss off at least 25 People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals!! Can't wait to see the next one..thanks for making these..and I'm being truthful when I say..I found 21" of wire..just watched this 2nd vid..and am gonna set one in a bit..we got 10" ...at least of Snow yesterday and last night..and I want to eat a rabbit..been a while...never snared before..again..thanks

  • All that noise is gonna scare all the rabbits away!

  • I think dialog would be much better than the music, too distracting. Otherwise a great learning tool, thanks.

  • what exactly you just did?

  • make them a little bigger.

set it about 4 and a half inches high.

make the loop 4 inches round

his head will go through his shoulders will stop the snare and cause it to tighten.

let me know how this works for you .
