These hummingbirds are about the size of a hornet. There were about a dozen on this flowering Leucophyllum frutescens.

  • I like the music.

  • This appears to be a White-Lined Sphinx Moth (Hyles lineata) which are also called "Hawkmoths" and "Hummingbird Moths". They have long tongues and hover just like Hummingbirds to feeed on nectar. They fly night, dusk and even sometimes during the day.. Nice footage and vid! :-)

  • not a humming bird but cool any way

  • definately the Sphinx Moth, but that was cool.

  • That was absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed that. Five stars

  • Get the flyswatter!! I want one...

  • So close in appearance at first glance. It would be good to compare the similarities of wing movements (slo-mo) between this and a hummingbird.

  • What kind of plant is that? It's really pretty.

  • yeah since when do hummingbirds have antennae??

    Very cool Moth though
