Do please leave a comment if you like this... I hope you enjoy this rather old recording from about 1990 when my voice was just a little higher and a good bit younger...! Can't remember when and where I first heard this Austin John Marshall song, set to a traditional tune, "The week before Easter" but I loved it from the start... painting pictures off an imaginary rural idyll and the coming of the Great War, that changed everything, forever. (For info: guitar is tuned in Open G with Capo 2) I'm having great fun pulling together photos and music for uploading to Youtube. All feedback comments appreciated, If you like this then do listen to other tracks from jonesthephones Thanks, Alun

  • @KarenSDR Thanks a lot. I don't think of this as a Whitcun song, despite the obvious reference, but rather a remembrance song. I'll actually be singing it tomorrow night 11-11-11 as such. thanks agin. Check out my other tracks and hopefully you'll find some you like
