who ever was responsible for this deserves shooting!!! its a cowards act and i hope they rot in a cell for a very long time.... shame on you!

sadly the parrot that was in the shop perished in the fire as did a snake hamsters mice and rats the where NO dogs or cats in the pet at the time of the fire.

But it listed all the animals that died in the fire. I remember 3 parrots, tarantullas, dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters. Etc

Talbot Road is a central part of Blackpool's history, it should be restored and reinvented after this!
Car parks are too far away and traffic has become enormous in recent years. Area has become isolated and has been dying as a trading area.
If this young man was an itinerant trying to keep warm in the archade by building a fire - is it any surprise?
The government and Blackpool Council must protect this area. Make it pedestrian and revamp it!

nothing s been said about the pet shop as yet but its early days i will post a message as more news comes in hoping no fire reached down to the pet shop they may have got vary wet hopefully
