  • ... or maybe if Moats had stopped first and explained what was happening and not ignored a police car with light flashing telling him to pull over, he would have reveivd no ticket and gotten an escort to the hospital.... and I'm sure Powell will get another job in another juristiction once all the hoopla over this is over....

  • Thanks for your good point, but it is too simplistic. Professional policing is not simply black and white (no pun there) it is shades of grey. Officers deal with people in crisis- that is what we train for. The Moats family were in crisis and did not need a robotic, automatic response. If that was the case, we would have robot speed cameras everywhere, but we don't. We have humans as officers to have compassion for other human beings. Discretion is a key word here.

"I just want to say that why do some people feel so negative about law enforcement"

Maybe because they see too many cops being defended in instances where the cop was obviously wrong?

And have you ever wondered why so many cops take offense to being videotaped?

  • @LIBshark If you had a dying family member in your car and you were going to the hospital; I hope you would not stop.

blah blah blah, most people like to see cops die, i wonder why, hmm, probably because they abuse their power. Quit sticking up for them, you have no point.

  • well said, too bad he is not every cop.... 95% of the cops i have delt with have been jerks and i am a former oeace officer... once they realize that their tune changes, but its too late... police dept. need to reach out n2 the community more, have more "beat cops" like back in the 40's and 50's so the community knows them... numbers dont lie, im blk male has 3 more times the chance of going to jail for the same offense as a white person.. fucking sad

  • Police lies to the public as well. More civilians than gov't officials.. Meet them half way.

    Powell deserves what he gots...

  • The academy that you ran in Florida never taught rooks to NOT interrupt their FTO's? As for those who automatically treat an officer in a negative way upon initial contact because of bad experiences they had with OTHER officers usually play the race/prejudice card to go with it. If that isn't irony than I don't know what is. Treating a person (officer) a certain way because of the uniform he wears at the same time accusing the officer of harrassing them because of the color of their skin.

  • I just want to say that why do some people feel so negative about law enforcement, it sometimes upsets me and those people take their anger out to the people in uniform I wish their's a way for people all over the world to see what great things the Police do for them anyway thanks for the video It shed somelight on some facts thanks!

  • Shut The Fuck You Garbage Motherfucker.

Your Coward Just Admit It That Is You Pussies Carry Guns And Teaser Guns.Look Around World You Coward Pussies.60 People Die Iraq And USA 80.What Kind Freedom Is There In This Country Today.

  • I think Officer Powell did his job right up to the point the nurses and other staff coming out to advise the mother in law was dying. At that time he should have let them go.. This HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE..It was just poor judgement.

  • officer also pulled and POINTED his gun at moats' wife then LIED about it... of course somehow you skipped this. The officer was an embarassment and much credit to the chief for not covering up this bad apple. At the very least it gives the mature calm officers a chance to shine
