This type of training is called high intensity interval training or HIIT. This jump rope workout is only 10 minutes long but it seriously helps burn stubborn body fat. In this workout I am using interval training to condition my cardiovascular system to blast fat and to really get that lean, tight look. In this style of exercise, short bursts of intense exercise are followed by short rests. This causes your body to burn fat for 24-72 hours AFTER your workout. So, your body becomes a fat burning machine. Pairing this type of training with clean eating you can transform your body in just 15 minutes or less a day 6 days a week. Who doesn't have 15 minutes a day to workout at home? Your body will not only become leaner it will become stronger and gain more muscle tone. These workouts are for men and women alike. So, go ahead, try it!

This interval training jump rope workout is really intense and will melt the fat off your body, even on those stubborn areas. Just 10-15 minutes of jump roping is equivalent to 30 minutes on the treadmill. You can save time and money by choosing a jump rope over a treadmill. Jump ropes are inexpensive, can be done pretty much anywhere, and are extremely travel friendly.

Workout Breakdown:
20s rest
40s jump rope all out effort
10 intervals= 10 minutes total.

  • @23Crysti I can find out. I will use a heart rate monitor that tells me the calories burned. It will be for my age, weight, and height though..... My HR monitor is out of battery though so I need to fix it before I can tell you.

  • Guys and Gals: If you totally suck at jumping, to a point that most of your 40 seconds will consist on 2-jumps-get-stuck-2-jumps-get-­stuck-again, etc, can you just "jump" like if you were using the rope?
