"(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window?" is a popular novelty song written by Bob Merrill in 1952.

It was adapted from a well-known Victorian music hall song. The best-known version of the song was recorded by Patti Page in 1952 and released by Mercury Records. It reached #1 on both the Billboard and Cash Box charts in 1953.

  • @heyfelli Maybe you should buy her a doggie :))) Thanks and give Lola a big hug for us.

  • My 5-month old grandaughter Lola simply adores this song.

  • Wof wof to you too, John :))

I find it a very cute song. The beauty of music is that there are so many different styles and one can choose according to his or her moods.

This song kind of puts a smile on your face and you're also safe - the dogs won't bite you.

  • I remember this song well,it came out just before I came to Australia.

I have a pps called" somehow" by Cindy that features this song.

    Thanks Alfred - wof wof.
