Fanfiction promo. Some Deathly Hallows spoilers, and some scenes are deliberately vague.
The basic plot is that in first year Harry begins to feel as though he doesn't know who he is (not like memory loss, simply that's he's questioning things he thought he knew about himself), and eventually Snape shows Harry memories of his childhood (explaining why Severus would do this will not be explained here, as it's important in the fic and I won't say too much here), which leads to the stuff from the "prince's tale" as well. After viewing, Harry is more confused about himself and Severus seems to have realized something he's not sharing. Something that was seen in his own meories, the ones he thought he had forgotten. And then Harry overhears something interesting when Dumbledore and Snape are talking...

Michael Snape, the grandfather, is of my own creation and is very important to the story because in most ways he's Sev's idol and taught him more than anyone else has. You amy notice the similarities between the aging man and who Severus becomes - even in the clothes they wear etc. Severus takes after this man a lot and looks up to him asccordingly.
