"Captain Suburbia" was a song that RCPM debuted and played at several shows in 2005. The song failed to make the cut for the next album, No More Beautiful World, however, and disappeared from the live sets. Let's hope it gets revived because it's a great song. This performance was recorded at Pop's Nightclub in Sauget, IL on March 8, 2005.

This video was produced by Jon Grayson and was found on archive.org.

  • Cool song. Do you remember a song the refreshments used to do around 94 called "professor"? I have the audio, but would love to see the video...

  • I have it on the "Seattle Demos" bootleg, but I don't know that video footage of them performing it exists. Another highlight from that disc is "Appreciate." The unfortunate thing is that the songs on the bootleg aren't the greatest in sound quality. I asked Roger about it once and he said he didn't have a copy of the demos and he thought it better they remain lost. :/

  • How can i get the Seattle Demo anyways??

    Any suggestions.

  • Great vid! And in case anybody hasn't heard yet, Captain Suburbia is now available for the first time on CD! RCPM's new release "Turbo Ocho" is an audio/video chronicle of the first ever RCPM VivaCast. The goal was to create and share, from inspiration to the final mix, 8 songs in 8 days. Also on this album is Mañana, Méxicosis, and Captain Suburbia.

  • Cuz A is for angry B is for bored, C is for clumsy and D's unsure and E is for everything that I just said's a lie... Good stuff. I have that demo and still have the original wheeie albumn. I say it selling on e-bay for something crazy like $300...

  • Cool song. Do you remember a song called "professor" the refreshemtns used to play around 94 & 95? I have the audio, but would love to see a live version...
