Finnish artist/singer Robin's hit song Frontside Ollie covered by band Pumppu.
This is a ex tempore joke, so please don't take it too seriously :D

  • I like this interpretation very much, its energetic and genuinely fun, and it demonstrates yet again what a great and very catchy pop tune this is... except for the fact the lead singer holding the paper to remember the lyrics... now that is such a downer... surely you could have learned the simple lyrics of the song. I don;t know any Finnish, but I printed them and know the Finnish lyrics by heart.

  • @myuuuzik Thank you for the feedback, we didn't really practice this before playing so that's the reason for the lyrics sheet :)

  • @deathtilldeath Thanks... Must say you surely capture the magic of the moment. The band plays well. I like it when the five extra guys jump in to stage... It really makes it spontaneous and so much fun.. I mean at times it is very chaotic and appears vividly ill-organized, yet that's precisely where it becomes real breath-takingly funny.. I am sure not only you doing the song, but the entire crowd enjoyed it tremendously as I have as well. They got their money's worth I tell you.. its so obvious.

  • @myuuuzik Yea, i think the crowd enjoyed just as we did. I must thank you again for the good feedback :)

  • paskaaa.. ei mee yhtää sävelten mukaisesti lool !

  • @ThePullasorsa69 Et taida tietää musiikista paljoakaan... Menee täysin oikein, ainoastaan eri sävellajista...

  • No ennyt tiiä onko hyvii

    :))

  • @deathtilldeath No ei kyl vokaalit tue sävellajia koko aikaa :D Nomut6 nuotin vieressä on tilaa onnek :) Hyvä pätkä.

  • A fine example of what I'm saying is the "Frontside Ollie" version done by the group Mekanism as a thrash metal song. But it incorporates so many genres... That is one awesome interpretation as well. I haven't got tired of it ever since discovering it 3 days ago. Perhaps I listened to theirs some 15 times till now.... You can find that by typing _UAvEZAfflw immediately after watch?v= part. But here you did it before (24 January). They came out with theirs on Jan 28.

  • So the only practical way to really bash the song is to remove it altogether from online as if it never existed. That will show real contempt and prohibit its propagation as a song . But if you keep it, even if you claim it's a joke to poke fun at some people, it remains what it is, a great tribute and a tacit or sub-conscious admission that it is actually a great song, which it is in many ways. "Friday" by Rebecca Black is also such an "iconic" song as well, witness all the versions to it

  • It might be a joke to you, it might even be a joke to the performers... but it's also a great tribute that shows this great secret love, or what we call the "love-hate" relationship. You hate it so much that its just a proof it had the huge effect it had on you That's what great songs do whether you like it or not. Such iconic songs always take a life of their own and lead to results you never imagined or wanted with you and with others. This is one of these songs even if you don't admit it.

  • @myuuuzik and this whole song was a joke and either wasnt a decent song for a good choice to perform. it was kinda trolling for 'Finlands Justin Biebers' new bad song

  • @silvercitron It's just an English expression. When you say "he got his money's worth" you are implying those who came had a good time... I am a Canadian and would not even know if this was a free concert or a concert with an entrance fee. I wouldn't even know if Pumppu is a well-known band or just some bunch of guys doing a gig with no serious aspirations. You must appreciate that I am trying to give the event an international flavour and not just some local affair that a few people enjoyed...
