@PaleRider626 It is the Swiss they looked at the AK and said the tollerances should be tighter, so they made them that way. They build some great stuff, but they did tighten the tollerances a little much for me too. They would not think of running steel cased ammo, like the AK was designed to do. The original Swiss forarm helps with weight up front.

@PaleRider626 The new one with the short gas system is heavy, really?
Fickle about ammo honestly, as long as you don't shoot Russian crap what is the problem?
I have not had any problems out of the first gen what about you? Except for the bolt in which I repaired in lite 10 minutes.....

Lt. Dan is here again !

The top lower reciever is off of the sig classic while the other is from the sig 556 er design, looks like his hand guards are swat or aftermarket though. The ER is also heavier then the classic.

I have a 2010 556, love the gun, have put about 1000 rounds through it, not one ftf, fte or any other problems. I purchased it to replace my bushmaster because I was tired of cleaning the GI system. The Sig runs much cleaner as a GP.

Where are your shoes?

Did you get the bolt carrier wear issue yet?

@semiautoriflelover1 No I ground my bolt with a dremel and made a vid on it a couple of years ago. There were only some of them that did it and I had one.

would you trade an AK for a 556?

@southerner985 No I have to have the rail to mount optics so to me there is not a comparison, but I am an AK person.
