President of Georgia visited Imereti Region

President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in the Imereti Region today and opened the Prometheus Cavern in the resort zone. Local population assembled at the cavern and talked with the president.

Earlier today, Mikheil Saakashvili arrived in Tskaltubo district and visited a new health center Spa Resort. The centre has 59 rooms the price of which is 110-140 USD. The centre offers all inclusive and medical service.

Spa Resort will begin to receive visitors from June 15, 2011 and offer to them full package of service. The spa center is located on 16 hectares of area. The management of the health centre plans to attract investments and reconstruct two blocks of the sanatorium, which will grow the number of the rooms from 50 to 240.

President said Tskaltubo will become aa resort meeting international standards next year. President announced the year 2011 as the year of Tskaltubo renaissance.

The head of the Tourism Department of Georgia was also attending the presentation.
