How to make a 'camisole'(in fact an early bra) out of a pair of handkerchiefs. It may be similar to the one made by the New York socialite, Mary Phelps-Jacob, - later patented by her, with a more complex form - in 1914. Almost certainly the model wears it over her shift for reasons of cinematic propriety. British Pathe archivist dates it to around 1921.

@dazzer1ful The shift from corsets to bras was more about comfort and convenience in the beginning than support.

what a cute video! it's true bras did not need to be particularly supportive back in those days...the silhouette in the first decades of the 20th century was long and, to our modern eyes, probably quite "droopy". then in the 1920s the boyish look became popular, so issues of breast support were not really a trendy problem ;) fashionable women wanted to be as shapeless as possible, and bras and corsetry of the 20s were worn to flatten, not support.
