@raphig I was also curious what ventilation setup you are using there?

@raphig Just curious, is it difficult to router the over hang edges flush without putting a dent in it? Thanks.

In the past year I've accumulated a few dozen wooden organ stops--all old but in excellent condition. All have cut-ups that are too high for the sound I like so I've been ungluing the front (it's hide glue and lets go with steam) and reattaching it a little lower and effectively lowering the cut-up. I fill-in the nicks under the cap and get a great sound out of old "wooly" sounding pipes.
The wood can be very nice on the old pipes. Tulip-wood, poplar, cherry, walnut and mahogany.
Good work!

It's really pleasant to watch you work. That's how, the working should look like.

@delticpaint Actually, not all organ builders use that finish. A lot of an organ (built traditionally) is left unfinished. And it's up to personal choice, anyway.
