this is such a powerful video. i hope that any and all who watch it understand just how hurtful "harmless little words" and "innocent fun" can truly be to those on the receiving end of the deal. Words do hurt, and for many, these kinds of remarks are so common and occur with such frequency that they start to believe what is being said of them. I have never said anything I heard within this video out loud or under my breath and do not plan to do so at any point in the future.

You're fine just the way you are. Just remember: It doesn't matter who you love or how you love, only *that* you love.

this made me cry
As someone who discovered my homosexuality at a very young age, let me just say that there is nothing more painful than hearing your parents and adults you look up to call what you feel a sin or disgusting or gross. Sometimes they know they're talking about you, sometimes they don't. It is painful that when you're being harassed so heavily by peers you can't even turn to the "grown ups", the people who are suppose to be there for you and act maturely. This project is so important, so, thank you.

Instead of listening to messages of hate, listen to this instead - and let it be the only thing you hear: You are perfect as you are. I love you. We love you. You are worth so much. You have so many beautiful gifts to bring to this world. Shine your light. You are amazing. You are wanted. You belong with us and to us, and we belong with you and to you. You will always be "one of us," one of our Family. No one can take that from you. We love you.
