Lubricant - Thrombose

Lubricant was a finnish Death Metal band formed in Nokia,1990. The band had started out as O.V.D. in 1988 and they released one demo tape "Supposed Exercise". They were playing Speed Metal at the time. After changing the band's name they released a demo tape "Subscription of Hydatidocele". They were under heavy influence of Xysma and Carcass,and they had a hint of rock 'n' roll in the sound. They released two demos in 1991 : "Surgical Centesis" and "Swallow the Symmetric Swab". They were signed to Morbid Records and released "Nookleptia" in 1994. This is from "Nookleptia".

Lubricant, Necropsy and Xysma were the greatest dm-bands in Finland in early `90s and a big source of inspiration to us when we started with Mustan Kuun Lapset in 1993. We salute you! Death Metal in Finland at these days is f**king boring, you really can´t found any inviduality like `90s stuff had anymore.

Great album, I've got this on vinyl.

Lubricant have always had a spacey, psychedelic vibe to them, even though they try like hell to be death metal. I think this makes them even more interesting than the average lot.

Sweet Carcass-like Death 'n' Roll from Nokia. Very listenable, nearly timeless EP. It jusn't doesn't seem to wear out.
