Its moss.  It dies back every now and again, and returns.

I don't know what kind it is. I'm pretty sure I got it from the local park, near a small lake.

im pretty sure this girl in my 6th period brought 1 of those to show the class..they are awsome..look like they could be called poison dart "toads"..lol

I have to disagree from my experience. I have kept them in humidity levels of 60 - 85% for 5 years and they are going strong. I also have a strong ventilation source (computer fan) which simulates a constant breeze and keeps the air from being stagnant.

By no means does humidity ever reach 90 or above unless thats the humidity in the city I live in.
