Lesbian Muslim says she does not need to Pray

This is a clip of Irshad Manji telling her mother she does not need to obey Allah's commands. I was going to make a video reply, but I'll just let you know what I think right here.

She says that she does not pray like Muslims pray but she has her own way of prayer and then she tells her Mother "is your God so angry that he will not appreciate my words of gratitude that I've offered."

I think Christians have the same attitude as this woman. They think they can pray in whatever form they want and since God is a merciful God, he will accept their prayer. According to Muslim scholars, Allah will accept a persons sincere prayer no matter what time he or she makes it. But this is different from the physical Prayer called Salat in Arabic. The prayer she is talking about is supplication, or in Arabic, dua. This can made every morning like she does, but then there is the mandatory prescribed prayers that Allah has commanded us to do in the Quran Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight" 7:29

The very nature of ritual prayer is to submit to Allah and his omnipotence, to demonstrate ones absolute surrender and humbleness towards the creator of the heavens and the Earth, which is the mark of a true believer or Muslim who submits to God. You are not a true believer if you do not do the prescribed prayers as the Prophet Muhammad said:
"The difference between a believer and a non-believer is Salat."

She is not a Muslim, once you abandon the salat, you are remmoved from the fold od Islam. Allah swt forgives all, should she repent and try to stay away from the sin, she will be forgiven, as Allah swt forgives all except shirk. Allah swt does not look at the person who practices their lusts on the same sex but this does not exempt them from prayer. May Allah swt guide and forgive is all and remove all filth from our characters. Homosexuality is a sin I pray that allturn back to Allah swt ameen
