EVA #50 Report

January 23, 2009

William Durocher

Time:
7:00 - 8:30

Crew Members:
Entire crew

Site Location:
Hab ridge, Observatory ridge

Transit Mode:
Foot

Objectives:
We plan to conduct a sunrise EVA tomorrow morning. I am submitting this report tonight because crew 76 will be reporting tomorrow, and I will not be. We are getting up bright and early to walk to the top of Hab ridge to watch the Martian sun rise. After the sun has risen we are going to construct an inuksuk, which is a Canadian symbol from the arctic Inuit people that means "I've been here before; you're on the right track."

This will be our last EVA of this rotation and marks the completion of our ambitious goal of conducting 50 EVAs!
