Nimrod was a type of Anti-Christ. I find the whole Turkey/Islam/Ottoman thing interesting...but if you watch Chuck Missler's teaching on the book of Revelation & the Anti-Christ, his research indicates the Anti-Christ will be an Assyrian. I wish I could point you to the videos with scriptures he uses, but watch his series after this. The truth is most likely somewhere close between these two teachers.

Just because he isnt called "king" (the pope ..does not mean he is not as a king, holding land and given a kingdom, land and authority on earth..Rome. sorry you are wrong here..! This is type and shadow so common in the scriptures...Rome , old Roman empire is a type and shadow of the anti-type coming in the last days. The seat of the Roman empire, Rome will have dominion and participate in the anti-christs reign, the pope will hand over his authority to this man as the false prophet.
