Kurt Weill's, September Song - Rob Bourassa

This was one of my dad's favorite tunes. Kurt Weill wrote the music, but Maxwell Anderson wrote beautiful lyrics for it. I wouldn't ruin the song by singing it, but if you wish to hear the lyrics, I suggest Frank Sinatra's rendition. Also, Jeff Lynne from ELO teamed up with George Harrison to make a beautiful recording. George plays a slide solo that sounds like a sax.

One of my favorite recordings is on Pêche à la Mouche (Fly Fishing) by Django. The album has two of his renditions of this tune. I plan to learn to fly fish next summer if possible. Pêche à la truite, in northern Michigan.

@wendyow Bilboa is one of those examples of a song that isn't really memorable in the verse, and by the time you are ready to nod off, the chorus comes and grabs you. And then, for some strange reason when the verse is repeated, you suddenly appreciate it.

@analyzingfunny The funny thing about reel to reel, is that when you put it on YouTube, it still goes to a digital format, and all the extra frequencies that you had are suddenly gone, just as if you recorded it digitally.

Some day, we might have an online format that will duplicate that saturation, but I doubt it.
