One Life to Live Closing Theme 1993 (complete)

This montage is from the 25th anniversary with a voiceover by Erika Slezak (Viki). I think it was the only time the "champagne theme" by Lee Holdridge was played all the way through to the end. IMO, this was the last great era of OLTL.

I don't understand why Max and Luna didn't catch on. She was a breath of fresh air from Gabs(she gave you a headache with her nuttiness. Just a fuckin' drama queen you wanted to smack coz she never suffered shit she never even worked, lazy girl)She needed percodan! And Tina was fun. I hate Gabrielle and always will! I'm glad she's dead problem was I liked her with Bo...and not Nora!

@entertainme3000 I agree with you. I loved Luna and Max together, and I liked Gab with Bo. I think relationships work best balanced. Max and Gab were both dicey, over the top characters. To me they were too much together. I enjoyed Max being a rogue, but Luna made me feel something more for him because he struggled to be a better person for her. And Gab brought out a naughtier side of Bo, while she tried to curtail her antics some for him.

God all these characters...Larry, Wanda, Max, Luna, Andrew, Cassie, Jason, Cain, Tina, Cord, Sheila, Hank, Rachel, Kevin, and the original Asa and Clint, I miss them all so much. This truly is the soap of soaps.

Sad that OLTL got so close to "the next 25," but will fall just a few years short (if it truly goes off the air in January 2012).

DAYS was nominated for Best Show for the 1994, 1995, and 1996 seasons ... all of which saw some of the best from OLTL in my honest opinion. I actually WAS watching DAYS at this time too so I can objectively say the show was definitely nowhere near as good as ONE LIFE in those years. It was interesting and had its exciting moments, yes, but nowhere NEAR the drama, writing, and excellent acting OLTL had. That's the point I was trying to make.

@GenXorcist1976 I agree that this was OLTL's last great era, but where does DAYS come into the picture? DAYS did not receive nominations for anything during that time, except maybe for hairstyling, makeup and directing. Meanwhile, OLTL cleaned up with writing and acting awards and nominations. The show received its due praise from critics, fans, and the media.

Furthermore, weren't you just as STUNNED as I was when ONE LIFE wasn't even nominated for the Best Show Emmy from 1993-1996?? I SWEAR the Academy was giving DAYS pitty nominations!! I mean the AIDS Quilt/Billy Douglas/the Carpenters, Marty's Rape, Megan's Death, this 25th Anniversary, Bo & Nora, Max & Luna, Viki's Personalities..... the show was GOLDEN!!!!

I'd have to agree with you on this one, "sanyo"... this time period DOES seem to represent OLTL's last great era - with the resolution of Viki's personalities being the culminating point of said era which, for me, would begin around '91 or '92 with the introduction of Luna, Lee Ann, Jason, Andrew, Alex, Marty, and others w/their respective s/l. Sure, the show has had it's definite peaks in the 15 yrs since... but dreadful valleys too. And I DO maintain it's ABC's best soap.
