Tales of Symphonia PS2 - EX Boss 10: Cameo Team [Mania Mode/N.I.N.D.]

Alright, first of all I should mention the few things that did change in thisbattle from the Gamecube version. For one, Farah's Ground Breaker/Maximum Burst has been given the Ougi treatment, so the camera zooms in on her right before she uses it. Meredy, like Yggdrasil and Abyssion, can now cast Time Stop as well as still use Hourglasses. Woodrow....is just Woodrow.

Out of the many hilarious takes me and Clip went through trying to get this done with a clean slate, it's safe to say that this one went too much in our favor.

The main problem was getting Meredy to target Raine with her spells, because a few times she must have had some Regal-fangasm which totally halted any progress. After putting Woodrow against Regal (and cracking up as poor Woodrow got Guren Zeshuugeki'd) and Farah against Lloyd, we decided to pull the ole switcheroo to pit the fighters together in the battle of the century. And of course with Lloyd breathing down his neck Woodrow couldn't really do much of anything.

But the mistakes of the AI were probably most lol-worthy. Meredy casting Raise Dead on Woodrow right AFTER Farah threw him a Life Bottle was just too much xD. The cameo ALMOST had me one time, but again they were being sloppy and Farah Beast'd a unison-using Lloyd right into the already weak Woodrow, adding to the hilarity. As for the coup de grBce, I have been waiting to use Falcon's Crest throughout this whole damn playthrough and took a big chance with trying it between the two melee fighters. Fortunately for us Lloyd was able to use the power of 200 and spread divine justice to his foes, making our morale skyrocket.

Afterwards the lonely Farah eventually succumbed to the fury of Regal, and Meredy fell to a classic VerClipping. The high point of it all is: this went without a TIme Stop, Hourglass, Nurse, or Meteor Storm. Easily the best and funnest fight of this run.

I never played this game or Eternia but no wonder that incantation at 4:29 sounded so familliar. INDIGNASHUUUUUN!! Oh and Meredy's voice is so cute!

Another thing I love about this video is, and I apologize the triple post, but the use of anything BUT Kratos' boring stab techs and stupid Colette, FINALLY a Raine with Holy Lance, and an actually bad ass unisen. I cringe at Mjollnir, Photon Blast, and Star Rain, the most overused faggoty unisens in YT vids. Regal's aireal combos are just so bad ass. They look awesome, and people never use him, they always use the stupidest characters (with the exception of Presea). I really appreciate the vid.

First, yes the triple demon fang was Demonic Chaos in the English version, and thank you very much for the appreciation for the work that went into this. I'm glad you like it so much, as well as the kicking FIEND Regal played by Clip. Indeed it is a crazy and difficult battle, and made so much better with co-op and without broken devil arms. Also rofl @ stupid Colette and the unisons. Refreshing.

It always dissapointed me in how easy this battle was. And, ya know, the sub-par voice actors they got for the cameos in the english version.

@DreamSword I never found this battle easy to be honest. Though I haven't fought it much to begin with, I always thought it was one of the hardest fights in the game.

And I actually enjoyed the voice actors in the english version. The only problems with them imo was that Meredy sounded a bit older and Farah sounded a bit younger than they did in Eternia :/. Also how can you hate HALE GALE ?

Whew, this fight brings back some terrifying memories. Thank goodness the camera actually lets you see what's happening with everyone! I played through the game twice with two different people (after playing it once solo), and we NEVER challenged these guys. It would have sucked trying to be a Presea comboing blind offscreen. I say you two did a great job, and nice teamwork!

@DreamSword This battle is only easy if you over level into the 18x and/or if you use the hacked cursed arms and/or abuse items. This is the hardest battle of the game because it is a 3 on 3, not the usual 4 on 1. You are obviously the utmost retarded person I know if you have the audacity to say that this is easy. Keep trolling dumb ass.
