The fact is that now the relations between Tibetans and those Mongolians who still adhere to Buddhism (Tuvans, Buryats, Kalmyks and Mongols from independent Mongolia)are being revived and growing stronger and stronger. Thousands of Mongols from these areas study in Tibetan monasteries in exile, for instance.

That is very correct. What I meant is that the Chinese now justify their rule over Tibet to the fact that Tibet was under the rule of the Yuan (Mongolian) Dynasty in the 13th Century.

Well, not really. What amgalanbator implied by foreign people is Manchu, not Tibetan. Before, the nomads of Asia used to fight with each other. However, now on the world stage that is so globalized, we need to cooperate. Tibetans were also Shamanists. Buddhism flourished in Mongolia three times. During the Great Mongolian era, Mongolians were Buddhists, Christians, Shamanists, Muslims etc.

I am Tibetan. I recognise the Mongolian right to choose their own faith. However, it must be stated that the Dalai Lama went there because he was invited by Mongolian Buddhists. Tibetan Buddhism did not create internecine warfare, internecine warfare was part of Mongolian history long before Buddhism came to Mongolia. Tibetans did not come to Mongolia, initially, Mongolians came to Tibet and caused so much destruction and chaos.

Buddhism came to Mongolia around 1700. The foreign people who brought Buddhism to mongolia wanted to gain control over mongolians. Before this, Mongolians were shamanistic.
