Robin Of Sherwood - Strange Land (Extended Version)

My first new RoS video for 2years!How time flies! This time set to the haunting Clannad track, Strange Land from the Legend album. It's taken a while to get back into video editing and go through all the footage of the Michael Praed episodes (sometimes frame by frame !).

Strange Land is another atmospheric track, with ominous drum beats (like a heartbeat), followed by the dramatic and sudden introduction - usually punctuating a dramatic scene or change of scene. It was a great marriage of music and images that made RoS have such a mystical atmosphere.

I wanted Strange Land to show that Robin lived in strange times. There wasn't just the Sheriff & Gisburne to contend with, but also a host of other "strange" characters. Such as Templar knights, the Hounds of Lucifer (led by Morgwyn of Ravenscar), Baron De Belleme, King's - Richard and John to mention and showcase a few. A battle of good against eveil or "light & darkness"

I hope this extended version of Strange Land is in keeping with the feel of the show and RoS fans enjoy it. Other videos are to follow. Thanks for all the comments and messages left about my other videos. I really appreciate people commenting and subscribing. Thank You.

@jadefalconmk1 No word of a lie, the series has never looked better than on Blu-ray. If you buy it, you won't regret it! I think they went to town with the transfers, rather like the upcoming Star Trek: TNG sets.

@Litshttam What's the Blu-Ray's like. I only ever bought one season of this on DVD and the transfers were to put it nicely, sub-par, it seemed only to be a port of the VHS version and the picture was very grainy. I'd be tempted if a decent effort was put into the Blu-Rays.

fantastic video,well done.as an irish man im proud to know it was an irish celtic band that did the soundtrack to this show [and i still love this show,best version of robin hood ever].the guy who plays the part of "edward" a local village leader in the series who is a friend of robin is played by mr JEREMEY BULLOCH who is none other than BOBA FETT in the empire strikes back and return of the jedi from the star wars series

One of the best songs of a great tv-series when i was a kid. The video stays true to the spirit of both the series and the song. Great job!

Fantastic!! May I ask where you got the instrumental version please? As far as I know the only version is short clips of it in the show - or is that where you got it from and did clever editing? Thanks!
