Killer auction, horses, mules, ponies and others are auctioned off at New Holland the lucky ones are rescued, the rest are not. They are sent to slaughter houses, for horsemeat for human consumption abroad. Some are made into shoes or hand bags , what ever they can come up with. They never have a chance at life.

  • one mare we rescued from New Holland, the vet told us she was not in foal. Surprise, a week later she gave birth to a beautiful filly, a paint. her filly would have been dropped on the slaugher room floor. every rescue in the country heard about her. by the way she was named Miracle, because she was a Miracle. I will not tolerate any one telling me horse slaughter is good thing. you are up the wrong tree now.

  • did you see the dead horses at New Holland, did you visit the dead pile. live animals are on the dead pile, left there to slowly die. did you watch the workers beating the horses at New Holland? the mares that are in foal sent to slaughter. they drop their foals on the slaughter room floor. you approve of horse slaughter, you just don't care.

  • What an absurdly incongrous video! Showing pictures of supposed abused horse with music from a wine tasting party and flowers and sunshine crap. Yes, we get it, the horses are treated like livestock. Can the music, go play with your Barbies.

  • I swear 2 god if I ever saw someone mistreating a horse I'd beat the crap outta them! How can someone buy a horse & then deliever it 2 go be killed?

  • @gearld1962 The kill buyers go to that auction, I doubt all of this happens there, but kill buyers still go there, that's the bad part

  • you people are so full of crap.I go to new holland all the time and I dont see nothing you are talking about. And this vidio looks like you all are smoking crack!

  • I'm very much in favour of horse rescue and people doing all they can to save the horses. I myself have saved several at auction and rehomed but the music and stupid falling snow and leaves has absolutely nothing to do with the message you want to get across....you should re edit cause the message is being lost in the video.

  • @DerangedFox yep, the majority of the horses that get killed are walking on their last legs, often the horse owner has two choices, getting the horse to the vet for a lethal injection or selling it for slaughter, since having horses isnt really cheap, most choose for slaughter, then they get some money for the horse, instead of paying to get the horse euthanised

  • @kathleenburns I was at New Holland a few weeks ago. We bought a gorgeous cremello mare for only $150.

There is a dead pile there? Where is it? I'm pretty sneaky with video - got one of a horse pulling on his lead and falling to the ground.

  • Kathleen, I have heard from "people who know" that things have changed for the better at New Holland Auction since 2008. The way these "rescuers' talk you would think that there are no more crippled, starved or otherwise sick horses being brought in for sale. Can this be true>? Has NH cleaned up their act? Thanks for posting this.

  • boo hoo yeah i love horses and i think it is fucked up that this has to happen to them but get over it because this is the world we live in and if someone said to me ill pay you to deliver these horses to the slaughter house i would do it we all have to make a living... yeah the people who have money are against it but live the life of an average person we all do shit we shouldnt
