  • Wow! - found them at long last on YouTube - I have the 45 too (somewhere!) Lots of good memories from years gone by. Yep! FANTASTIC - p.s. the 45rpm isn't for sale, even if I could find it! FOUND IT!

  • I am here but to serve !

  • family..one of the best bands ever

  • I first heard this song at the Isle of Wight festival. The Bands manager rushed down there with an acetate to play to the crowd prior to the release of the record. I loved the song immediately and still own the 45.

I believe the intro had the words "ring woods out" "get it together", referring to the tape stops used in the reel to reel recorders used in studios at the time. I'm open to correction if anyone can find out what Roger actually said.

  • Started listening to Family when I was 16. 21 now. I really don't know anyone else my age who likes or knows of them =/ When I asked for Music in a Doll's house at the record store, the owner was so surprised!

This band got fuckin' robbed. Everyone should know them!

  • When I listen to this I remember how good stuff was back then. RAW ROCK & ROLL TALENT.

Somewhere up in the attic I have a 12” LP “The best of Family” 1974 12" LP Reprise K54023. There is so much talent-less crap out there. How much rap drivel & drum & bass will have any comment in 5yrs time let alone 40 yrs. Simon Cowell wouldn’t control this lot

  • John Weider's auspicious debut! :-)

This must be a diferent remix from the 1998 reissue as a bonus track on 'A Song For Me.'

  • Amazing...so memories and still as haunting! Saw them at Fairfields Hall.

  • Always makes my hair stand up on end---play loud and remember those daze :)
