@rievans57 Soprano & baritone are great but the falsetto is absolutely wonderful....those were the days, never to be replaced by what is out there now.

@sullivancountydays it depends what part of the country one grew up in. In Detroit slow dancing was called "The Social". In Philly and Chicago it was called something else .

Okay, who remembers the 500? That was what they called the slow dance to this song. Blue lights in the basement--yeah

Can't have harmony without a group. There aren't any more male singing groups. It's either rappers rapping, or a solo person singing who sounds just like all the rest of the soloist artist out there. How sad that the art of harmonizing is gone.

I could not have said it better!

One of the biggest differences between music of the 70's and today's music is harmony. What group today can even come close to what the Ebonys are doing on this record? The soprano and the baritone are absolutely wicked on this song (in the 70's all the groups sang like this). Another factor is that the Ebonys are singing in key. Long live soul music and all it's practitioners.

all you have to do is listen to the opening of this song to realize it's a classic!

Pure soul! I hope y'all feel it like I do. Don't make them like this anymore. Blessed to have been part of that generation.
