  • i saw twice in theater its one of my favorite movie, you have to see that movie

  • i also saw this film in a jewish festival.

was I the only one annoyed at the very negative portraying of Ethiopian young women? The only time they show one : is a prostitute in a club.. the hero runs away from her... to go back to his perfect adorable Jewish girlfriend (!!???)

see all

  • This movie makes me proud to be romanian!

  • @Tadano28te

Most of the Israelis love and appreciate the Ethiopian Jews - There are Idiots&racists Everywhere!

  • everybodys jewish chances are the ethopian girl in the club was too

  • absolutely great movie

  • Somebody help me please... what are the names of the two songs that Shlomo and Yael dance in his party after the jewish celebration? See it in the 1:29 on this vid.

    Thank you.

  • I would call this the best Israeli film ever if it wasn't a European co-production.

It portrays the struggles of Ethiopian Jews for acceptance through the eyes of an outsider with a heartrending secret.

It brings back memories of living in an Ethiopian neighbourhood in Beer Sheba in 1986, and my mother's involvement with CAEJ, the Canadian Association for Ethiopian Jewry.

There is also a sadness at Israel's failure to recognize the blessing that the Falashas brought to the country.

  • Man, watching this trailer is bringing back all of the feelings I felt while watching the film. My mother's Algerian friend recommended we watch it. It was one of the best movies I have seen in my life. A definite classic.

  • the song is "every time" by john boswell
