An interview with James Moss about his mission to start a foundation to help homeless people who wanted a hand up -- not a hand out to get back on their feet and lead productive lives. Moss recaps his own story of being homeless in Atlanta, GA and his efforts to rebuild his life by creating a Successful Marketing consulting business. My message is simple: If we knew better we could do better - We are truly in an age of transition and more and more people are hurting because of what they don't know.. Do your best always according to what's in your heart - not just what you know today (facts change as we learn and grow) Keep an open mind - it's like a parachute - it works best when open.
We realize it's up to us to create the change we wish to see in the world, but even more important, we realize that we can actually succeed if we work together and each just give what we can! http://www.about.me/mossgroup

  • Dr. Moss is a social media/Web 2.0 marketing author, blogger, analyst, podcaster, speaker, coach and New Media Marketing consultant. He has a Global Initiative to Advance Entrepreneurship - to help our selves by serving the needs of others - "We believe in helping ourselves and others by giving a hand up not a hand out" says Moss.

  • The effort continues today to give others a hand up not a hand out.

  • Do you know someone who has had a similar experience? Please share it with me as I've decided to document this and other stories like it in a book. I hope it will in some way inspire others not to quit when faced with adversity and to strive to find seek the best in themselves and help others.

  • Its very easy to be homeless because of no fault of your own. I know first hand. If it was not for God and strangers caring for our family. We would be homeless. helpmytwinsorg

  • Thanks so much for replying. There is not a day that goes by that we don't pray together. Prayers have kept our family together and happy through so very much turmoil.

  • Hell of an underdog - Few people are that strong willed and determined.
