The tutorial covers how to use a regular digital camera in order to capture the motion of an actor's face. You will learn how to import and prepare your footage, how to extract the actor's motion and finally how to apply the motion to a 3D character.

Part 1 will show you how to import the footage to After Effects and stabilize the video in order to zero out any unwanted head movement.

You can download an example video from this URL to get started on your own project.
