Poor Dodd. He should have read pages 96 and 97 of Paul O'Neill's book "The Price of Loyalty". Then he would know what the rest of the world knows. It's the oil, stupid!
Electric cars are the alternatives to oil. The US is oil independent. Oil shale in the plains will last forever...But who needs it?

I'm not sure why Dodd didn't get as many questions and air time as the others, but he sounds committed and articulate re: the energy issue. Would have liked to hear the rest of his thoughts on getting out of Iraq.

vote Dodd, he's no Mike Gravel. I'm pretty sure Gravel wants to eliminate the IRS, increase the sales tax "non regressively," and perhaps go back to the gold standard.
