Playing with Fire...

Must remember to upload more battles featuring this team as it has the least exposure compared to other passes. So most of you are already familiar with the strategy I use here. If not, then trick room along with copy cat, helps aid my teams synergy. Anyway's, I'm up against a fire team that looks terribly familiar. If I'm correct then that's the same team Pamizard fought against a week ago using her ice team. If you haven't seen that battle, then follow the link below. It's well worth a view.

So yeah I expected the appearance of both Ho Oh and Groudon, but strangely the opponent opted without them. Groudons appearance particularly would have made the battle a lot more difficult had drought been in effect! That Houndoom looked devilish as though it were hiding something! I'm pretty glad I held back from attacking using Octillery! You'll see what I mean...

Random wi-fi double battle: Magma Colosseum
Opponents Pokemon used: Arcanine, Infernape, Houndoom and Charizard
Tyler Pokemon used: Kangaskhan, Banette, Octillery and Mesprit.

  • Did anyone notice how kangaskhan drop their child when they attack?

  • @TIM1986BE - LOL You make a good point

  • Great team and strategy!

    I really look up to you...

    But I am not able to think of such strategies and predictions as you do...

    Anyway, GREAT BATTLE!!

  • @MultiGEEKguy Thank you for your kind words and I appreciate your support ;-}

  • Was there any indication for a lag? I mean.. why should someone be angry about losing in such a great match? (Nearly) everytime when I have a match like this I really don't care about win or lose anymore while the match. xD'

    Mesprit using Mach Punch and Water Sprout - great! xD I thought about Copycat for my newest team, too, but it somehow didn't fit. Fortunately, someone did it. ^^

  • @HalbesHerz - I think you and I share the same satisfaction regarding the out-come of most battles that are fun, enjoyable and most importantly... close! A win in situations such as this, is always a bonus in my opinion.

    Copycat is a great move to have, and speedy Pokemon make much better use of it. Lucario, Plusle/Minun, Mr Mime as well as Mesprit. Blastoise with a scarf and Lucario are probably the best type combo at using Copycat + Water Spout

  • Disconnected really? What's the point of someone turning their Wii off to avoid losing?

  • @joecab - Although Octillery benefited from it, I think I was a little harsh in using Protect more than once. I don't normally resort to a stall tactic, but there was nothing else I could have done :-{

  • Well done! I can't believe it never occurred to me to pull off a second Protect to avoid a Sucker Punch.

  • Love this. Thanks for being one of the few to still upload PBR battles.
