I first met Noel (Lord Lebby) in 1966 when he was appearing at Casa Montego. I was staying where I always stayed (THE MONTEGO BEACH HOTEL) and was fortunate enough to have HIM Haile Selassie I as a fellow guest during his stay in Mobay. (My novel THE LION DOMINION, title taken from Ziggy Marley's "Tumblin' Down", is a fictionalized version of HIM's 1966 visit to Jamaica). Lebby had recorded ETHEOPIA 10 years earlier, making it the 1st recording based on Marcus Garvey's "Back to Africa" theme.
