The big Dart was produced from 1960 through 1962, then it became the famous compact for 1963...

That was the very first Dodge Dart, the only one with tail fins and extra chrome, which pretty much went on the way side the following year, in 1961.

@ducatinova yes that was an Economy car, gas was $.15/gallon and it didn't have all of that emmisions crap the tree huggers and the government are requiring now. the engines back then were not choked down by catylitic converters and oxygen sensors. ah the good old days.

back in the day when the free market and not the government dictated the auto industry. you would practically have to blow a car like that up to even come close to totalling it. I would take one of those over a Prius or a Cube any day.
