I took footage in 1971 Vietnam, was Infantry in US Army. 8mm camera in my right hand & M203 in the other. Helicopters picking us up, in the air with our feet hanging out and then landing into LZ, took fire from enemy later. This video is dedicated to the 11 men that lost their lives the next day; a Chaplain, a 174th crew member and 9 A Co. 1/20th infantrymen. Thanks to the men of B 1/20 who rushed to the rescue, the 174th & 116th AHC and other Aviation personnel that prevented others from dying and retrieved the wounded at their own peril.

  • hey wolfie, i thank you and your comrade's for your service !! wish more of your generation who served would write down their memorys. we're now losing WWII and korea vets daily and the storys die with them.. i understand if people wish to keep those memorys for themselves, they earned em... much respect, carry on..

  • @timjessa1 Much respect to you for respecting something that will be gone and you can only read about it. Instead of a first hand opportunity, hopefully we never go through a WWII again, nor Vietnam. Thanks again, Wolfie

  • @timmy7796 I have a good friend that was there 8 years ago and said it was as beautiful as ever. I would assume there are problems with old mines and stuff. I would say the mine problems have probably mostly been dealt with by now. Thanks for posting, Wolfie

  • @dass0137 You got that right! Wolfie
