I think the question of whether Deckard is a replicant is still ambiguous even in the Final Cut and I also think the film is better for it.

In the novel Do Androids Dream Dick clearly implies Deckard is either a replicant or a schizophrenic, as the Voight-Kampf test could accidently diagnose a schizo as a replicant as both have a diminished sense of empathy, a 'flattening of emotional effect' as it's called. Deckard is probably a Nexus 5, so Batty and the other Nexus 6's have greater emotional respnses than Deckard does as they're more advanced. Also it takes one to know one, the 'set a thief to catch a thief' ploy.

@jungleman68 since Rachel is a replicant and her dreams are well know by the people surrounding her cause they are implant dreams, decker's dream about the unicorn is also known by the police so he is a replicant
