Great Stuff! Thank You!

hey, thanks for the idea and the reviews. did the etch on my el01 and el04micarta, worked great. try experimenting with a melted wax/hot glue combo. keep wax pretty hot and stir in hot glue untill it drips stringy like maple syrup(lots of stirring). cleans off just as easy but makes great strait lines for crisscross or geometric patterns.

haha, you're welcome for the name bro.
this el-.01 actually looks a lot better.
the el-04 looks really cool. i wouldn't trust myself to mod it though...not enough experience and shaky hand. +i love it too much as it is.
keep it coming ;)

@mrvoodoo94 Yes This sort of thing should work with a template for relatively simple designs. I'm not quite sure what the easiest way to make and attach the stencil would be though. Masking tape and cutting out the design with an exacto knife would probably work. There are serious artists who do things like paint a blade and use a stylus to scratch out detailed pictures. But that's beyond my skill level. I could probably do things like skulls or initials thought.
About how long did you etch the one with small pox?

have you tried doing the pocket clip too? that el-01 is perfect. the etching reall makes that swedge thing at the top of the blade look even more badass. and the edge looks like a katanas visible hamon. if you look up hamon patterns might spark some mor ideas

@PavlovSandor No haven't tried a clip yet. I'll try to remember next time. A hamon was actually one of the things I had in mind when I did the edge coating. Also Kershaw's composite blades.
