The comfort and happiness achieved while preparing dinner on a Boos Cuttingboard can only be recognized by a true Gourmet. For there are not enough of us in the world. If you appreciate the finer things in life (like a good meal) get a great cuttingboard and kick it up a notch !

What about oak cutting boards??
Recumbentz 2 years ago
Oak is a very pourous wood, small holes throughout, not a good choice. When the Chef speaks, many wisemen listen.

I have a huge 16 inch Boos butcher block on order . 30x40in and 567lbs. I know it is meant to be cut on but that first cut is going to hurt. I see here you have boards on top of your block. Do you ever cut on your block?

You have a piece of history ! Take care of it and oil it monthly. YES, I chop on mine every day ! The cuttingboards are used on granite and other countertops.

should I have to old it immediately after washing with water or after it gets dry?

Hi !
Let it get dry, then oil it and after that, never put it under water, simply wipe it down or scrape it, wood kills bacteria. Oil helps keep out moisture. The board in the video is several years over, it has never been in a sink or under running water.
